Still waiting for the Windows 10 update to begin on your Windows 7 or Windows 8 PC? Here are the steps to start the update immediately.
1) Enable automatic Updates in Windows 7/8
The first step is to enable automatic updates in Windows. Open the Windows Update" application, click on "Choose how Updates get installed" and select to install updates automatically.
2) Open Administrator command prompt
Now open a command prompt in administrator mode:
Click on the "Start" Icon, then on "All Programs" and go to "Accessories". There do a right clock on "Command Prompt" and select "Run as Administrator. When a user account control box appears, then choose yes.
Inside of the command prompt enter:
and press enter to start the update.
In case that you get an error that the download failed or that the downloaded files got corrupted, go to the folder C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download and delete all files inside before you try the update again.
