With friends and family or team members spread all around the globe, it can be very tricky and challenging to keep track of different time zones, especially if you need to check up on them every now and then. You don’t always have to open your browser every time you want to find out the time zone of another location or get stuck in mental math to figure out what time it is in another country.
Besides your regular local time clock, it’s actually pretty easy to keep an eye on 2 or even more international time zones on your own PC, if you’re using Windows 10. The best part is, these additional time zone clocks are not annoying or intrusive as they only become visible when you hover over the clock in the system’s tray.
Here’s how you can add new time zones to your PC:
Step 1: Open the Start Menu and click on the gear icon to open Settings
Step 2: From the next screen, click on the “Time and language” button
Step 3: Scroll down within the Time and language page and click the “Add clocks for different time zones” button to open the “Additional clocks” tab
Step 4: In the new tab, enable the first clock by placing a checkmark on the “Show this clock” field. Select the desired time zone from the drop-down menu
Step 5: Enter a display name for your new clock. Repeat steps 4 and 5 to activate the second clock if need be
Step 6: Click “Apply” and then “OK” to complete the task
Step 7: All the 3 clocks can be viewed by hovering your mouse over the clock in the system tray
It’s very likely that you need to keep track of more than 2 time zones on your PC. If 2 additional clocks are not enough for you, you can add more clocks using the “Alarms & Clock” app.
Follow the below-mentioned steps to add additional time zone clocks:
Step 8: Open the “Alarms & Clock” app and click on the “World Clock” tab
Step 9: Click on the “+” sign placed at the bottom right
Step 10: Type on the required location in the search box on the top left and click on the required location to add the clock to the map on the right
Step 11: Right-click on the added time zone clock on the map and select the “Pin to Start” option. Now you simply have to click the “Start” menu to view these time zone clocks
Both methods serve the purpose and it’s really up to you as to which one you prefer to use.
Thanks to Windows 10 – once glance at the world clocks and you’re all set to have smooth and timely communication with your family or business collaboration with your teammates. After all, time is money and time never stops for anyone.
