By definition, the format of dates in Windows 10 is with slashes e.g. 11/20/2019. Click the Search button. Type Change the date in the search bar and click the option as the following image is showing:
As soon as you will click the option, the following screen will appear:
Here click the drop down named Short date as highlighted in the above image. Now a list of different date formats will appear, select the format of your choice.
Similarly, to change the format of the time, click the drop down named Short time as follows:
Choose the time format of your choice as highlighted in the above image. To change the date and time format through the Control Panel, click the back button on the same screen:
As soon as you will click the back button, the following screen will appear:
Select the option named Additional date, time & regional settings option from the right side of the screen as highlighted in the above image. As soon as you will click this option, the following screen will open:
Once you have clicked the Change date, time or number formats the following dialogue box will appear:
Like Settings screen, click Short date drop down and choose the date format of your choice. Similarly, click Short time drop down and choose the time format of your choice. After choosing the date and time format click Apply and OK button to apply these formats to Windows 10.
