For Windows, shortcut icons have little arrows to notify you that a shortcut is what you are looking for. Although the arrows are shorter than in some earlier Windows versions, they are not particularly appealing. These are conveniently relatively easy to remove. Click the Search button. Type Run in the search bar and choose the Run option as the following image is showing.
As soon as you will click the Run option, the following dialogue box will appear.
Type Regedit in the Open textbox and click the OK button as highlighted in the above image. The following screen will appear.
Navigate through the following path.
Then right click the Explorer option and choose New -> Key option as the following image is showing.
Rename the new key as Shell Icons as follows.
Right click on the Shell Icons key and click New -> String Value as the following image is showing.
Rename this new value as 29 as follows.
Double click on the new value 29 and the following dialogue box will appear.
Enter %windir%\System32\shell32.dll,-50 in the Value data text box and click the OK button as highlighted in the above image. Restart the computer to apply the changes.
