There is a feature of linking your phone to Windows 10. By enabling this feature, you don’t need to have your phone with you all the time. You can perform some of the actions of your phone through your Windows 10. But if you don’t want to link your phone with Windows, you can also disable the phone linking feature on Windows 10. Disable phone linking feature on Windows 10
In order to disable your phone linking feature on Windows 10, follow this procedure step by step:
Click the Search button. Type Run in the search bar and select the Run option as the following image is showing:
As you will click the Run option, a Run dialogue box will appear. Type regedit in the Open text box and click OK button, as the following image is showing:
Once you will click the OK button, Registry Editor will open as follows:
Go through the following path:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> Policies -> Microsoft -> Windows -> System
Once you followed the above-mentioned path, you will be here:
As you are on System option, right-click on the System Menu and select New -> DWORD (32-bit Value). The following image is showing:
Once you will click DWORD (32-bit) Value, the following screen will appear:
Type EnableMmx on the highlighted area in the above image. Now double click on it and change the value to 0 to disable it. As the following image is showing:
Now restart your computer/ laptop. Your phone linking feature on Windows 10 is disabled.
By following the above-mentioned method, you can disable your phone linking feature on Windows 10. You can also make it enable by following the same procedure and change the value to 1.
