The Windows 10 taskbar is fully programmable and the choice to transparent the taskbar is already included in Windows 10 customization settings. But you can fix the taskbar to a higher degree of transparency with a little registry magic. In this article, we will guide you through the whole procedure to increase the transparency of the taskbar in Windows 10.
Increase the transparency of in Windows 10 taskbar
To increase the transparency of taskbar in Windows 10, follow this procedure step by step:
Click the Search button. Type Regedit in the search bar and select the option as the following image is showing:
As you will select the Regedit option, the following screen will appear:
Select the following path from the left side of the screen and you will see a screen like this:
Now right click on the screen and follow New -> DWORD (32-bit) Value as follows:
Rename the field as UseOLEDTaskbarTransparency and screen will look like this:
Now right-click the newly added field named UseOLEDTaskbarTransparency and select the Modify option as follows:
As soon as you will select the Modify option, the following dialogue box will appear:
Change the Value data to 1 and click the OK button.
Now close the Registry Editor and click the Search button. Type Settings in the search bar and select the Settings option as follows:
After you select the Settings option, Windows Settings screen will appear like this:
Choose Personalization option from Windows Settings as the above image is showing. As soon as you will select the Personalization option, the following screen will appear:
As you can see in the above image that the screen is divided into two parts. Select the Colors option from the left side of the screen and following options will appear:
Now turn the toggle button named Transparency effects on as highlighted in the above image. As soon as you turn on this button, the transparency of taskbar will be increased.
By following this procedure you will be able to increase the transparency of taskbar in Windows 10.
