ISO file or disk image file is the exact copy of a disc that resides on your computer system. It contains all the files and folders that are present in the actual disc. Mounting an ISO file is nothing but opening it in order to view its contents and burning it to a disc means copying all the contents of the ISO file to an empty disc. In order to mount and burn an ISO file in Windows 10, you will need to perform the following steps:
For mounting or opening an ISO file, you will need to locate your desired ISO file as highlighted in the following image:
Once you manage to locate your ISO file, just double click on it in order to mount or open it.
As soon as you will double click on it, Windows 10 will show you the contents of that ISO file as shown in the image below:
Now you need to burn that ISO file. For doing that, insert any blank CD or DVD in your DVD player and then go to the ISO file that you want to burn.
Once you locate the ISO file that you want to burn, just right click on it in order to launch a cascading menu as shown in the following image:
Now click on the Burn Disc Image option from this menu as highlighted in the image shown above.
As soon as you will click on this, the Windows Disc Image Burner will appear on your screen as shown in the image below:
Check the checkbox corresponding to the field saying, “Verify disc after burning” and finally, click on the Burn button as highlighted in the image shown above in order to burn your ISO file to a disc in Windows 10.
