Many times, while working in Windows 10, you encounter some problems and you want to troubleshoot your PC in order to resolve those issues. However, a major hindrance in doing so is the processes and services that run in the background and do not let you identify your problem correctly. Do a Clean Boot in Windows 10
In order to perform a clean boot in Windows 10, you will need to perform the following steps:
Type run in the search section of your taskbar and click on the search result in order to launch the run prompt. The newly opened Run Prompt window is shown in the following image:
Now type msconfig in the textbox corresponding to the Open field and then click on the OK button as highlighted in the image shown below:
As soon as you will click on it, the System Configuration window will appear on your screen as shown in the following image:
Click on the Services tab as highlighted in the image shown above.
Now check the checkbox corresponding to the field saying, “Hide all Microsoft Services” as highlighted in the image shown below:
Click on the Disable all button and then click on the Apply button as highlighted in the image shown above.
Now type task manager in the search section of your taskbar and click on the search result to launch the task manager window. The newly opened Task Manager window is shown in the following image:
Click on the Startup tab as highlighted in the image shown above.
Now you will need to disable all the Startup processes. For doing that, select a process by clicking on it and then click on the Disable button. You will need to do the same for all the Startup processes until all of them are disabled as shown in the image below:
Close the Task Manager window and then restart your computer system. Now you will be able to troubleshoot all the issues that you were facing earlier. Once you manage to know the root cause, just restart your PC and enable all those services and programs that you have disabled earlier in order to perform the clean boot.
