How to Permanently Disable Windows 10 Defender Antivirus

Windows defender antivirus is to keep the Windows safe from any type of virus. It gives protection to not only viruses but also to malware and spyware across whole windows. In this article, we will explain to disable Windows 10 defender antivirus.

Disable Windows 10 defender antivirus

In order to disable Windows 10 defender antivirus, you will need to perform the following procedure:

Click the Search button and type regedit in the search bar as shown below image:

Start Windows Registry Editor

Open Registry Editor and below screen will appear:

Open Windows Defender Registry Settings

Select HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> Policies -> Microsoft -> Windows Defender as shown in above image.

Now right click on the right side of the screen, select New -> DWORD (32-bit) Value as shown below:

As you will select DWORD (32-bit) Value, the following screen will appear:

Now type the new value as DisableAntiSpyWare and double click on it, following dialogue box will appear:

Set value to 0

If you want to disable the defender antivirus, type 1 in Value data and click OK button. Now Windows 10 defender antivirus is disabled. If you want to enable again, delete the value as shown below:
