Many times while using your computer systems, you find that your Internet is not working properly or at times, the Internet might not even be available. In these situations, people think that they cannot utilize various services such as maps. However, this is not true. Windows 10 even allows you to use the Maps feature while you are offline. In this article, we will explain to you the method through which you can use the offline maps in Windows 10.
Using Offline Maps in Windows 10
In order to use the offline maps in Windows 10, you will need to perform the following steps:
Type settings in the search section of your taskbar and click on the search results to launch the settings window. The newly opened Settings window is shown in the following image:
Click on the Apps tab as highlighted in the image shown above.
In the Apps Settings window, click on the Offline Maps tab as highlighted in the image shown below:
Now click on the Add button corresponding to the field saying Download Maps as highlighted in the following image:
As soon as you will click on it, you will be asked to select a continent in which that country is located whose map you want to download. In this example, I have selected continent Asia as highlighted in the image shown below:
After that, you will be asked to select the country whose map you want to download. In this example, I have selected the United Arab Emirates as highlighted in the following image:
As soon as you will select the desired country or region, your map will start downloading as highlighted in the image shown below:
