Windows 10 presents you with a very useful tool known as the Magnifier tool, which is specially designed for users who have visual impairment or disability. This tool helps such users by magnifying the screen up to the maximum possible extent hence, making its visibility clear for them. In this article, we will explain to you the method through which you can enable and use the Magnifier tool in Windows 10.
Using the Magnifier Tool in Windows 10
In order to use the magnifier tool in Windows 10, you will need to perform the following steps:
Type settings in the search section of your taskbar and click on the search results to launch the new settings window. The newly opened Settings window is shown in the following image:
Now click on the Ease of Access tab as highlighted in the image shown above.
In the Ease of Access Settings window, click on the Magnifier tab as highlighted in the image shown below:
Turn on the toggle button corresponding to the field saying, “Turn on Magnifier” as highlighted in the following image:
As soon as you will turn on this toggle button, the Magnifier dialogue box will appear on your screen as shown in the image below:
Here you can make modifications to the default Magnifier tool settings. For example, if you want to zoom in or zoom out, then you can make use of the plus (+) and minus (-) buttons located on the Magnifier dialogue box as highlighted in the image shown above.
You can also choose the desired view by clicking on the View dropdown list in order to expand it as shown in the following image:
As soon as you will click on it, you will be able to choose any one of the four given views i.e. Fullscreen, Lens, Docked and Preview full screen as highlighted in the image shown above.
If you want to customize the settings further, then you will need to click on the Settings icon located on the Magnifier dialogue box as highlighted in the image shown below:
You can minimize the Magnifier tool by clicking on the Minimize icon as shown in the following image:
Finally, you can close the Magnifier tool by clicking on the Cross icon as highlighted in the image shown below:
